Punch Pizza in Northeast Minneapolis is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Neapolitan pizza. While their classic pizzas are fantastic, I build my own with anchovies and piparras peppers. Yes, anchovies!!! The thin, blistered crust is the ideal base for these punchy toppings, and the quality of the ingredients truly shines through. It's been 15 years since I stepped foot into a Punch Neopolitan. The experience has even improved a great deal over the years while still maintaining what is the heart of this delicate restaurant. I recently moved back to MN and have raved about this place as no other place; even 800 Wood Fired Pizza in FL couldn't hold a candle to Punch. The staff (I feel as though the term in and of itself isn't as personal as the experience received when dining here) are impeccable in their service and well rounded in their personalities. My excitedness was embraced by these lovely people and to my delight, I was brought a plate of artichoke dip with fired up dough to enjoy on the house as a "welcome back gift." This is again my weekly spot. Not just for the food but the people and the ambience.

Awesome Neapolitan pizza. The toppings are fresh and flavorful and crust is chewy. We loved both the number 6 and number 13. Good amount of salami and spice on them and we ordered pepperoni mushroom to see how it would taste.
